Length of the garden (L) =90 m Breadth of the garden (B)= 75m Area of the garden = length × breadth =90×75 =6750m2 (2 means square) From the figure , The new length and breadth of the garden when path is included is 100m and 85 m respectively. New area of the garden =100×85=8500m2 (2 means square) The area path =new area new area of tye garden including path - area of garden. =8500-6750 = 1750m2 ( 2 means square ) For 1 hectare =10000m2 (2 means square ) Hence , area of the garden in hectare =6759/10000 =O.675 hectare. There fore area of the garden is 0.675 hectare.
