An omnivore is an animal that eats both plants and animals for their main food. Omnivore comes from the Latin words omni, meaning "all, everything," and vorare, meaning "to devour." So an omnivore will eat anything. Some common mammalian omnivores include raccoons, opossums, skunks, pigs, rats, badgers, and most bear species. There are also several omnivorous birds, including chickens, crows, and robins. Some reptiles, such as lizards and turtles, are also omnivorous.

Because all lines are straight, intersecting lines can only cross each other once. Lines that never intersect are parallel lines. Parallel lines do not form any angles. Parallel lines look like railroad tracks: they are always the same distance apart, running next to each other.

A beam balance is used to measure the mass. It consists of a horizontal beam, supported at its centre. The beam can move freely about its support and a pointer is attached to the centre of the beam. Two similar pans are suspended at equal distances from the centre of the beam by means of strings of equal lengths. The object whose mass is to be measured is kept on one pan and the standard known masses are kept on the other pan till the beam is horizontal and the pointer is vertical. Then the sum of the known masses gives the mass of the object.

Flax fibers Flax fiber is extracted from the bast beneath the surface of the stem of the flax plant. Flax fiber is soft, lustrous, and flexible; bundles of fiber have the appearance of blonde hair, hence the description "flaxen" hair. It is stronger than cotton fiber, but less elastic. Coarser grades of flax fibre are used for the manufacturing of twine and rope, and historically, for canvas and webbing equipment.
