Jute plants are cut at the time of flowering stage because a good quality of fibre is obtained at this stage. On complete maturation of plant, fibres of its stem become very hard. Jute plants are harvested at the flowering stage. The stems are cut close to the ground and are then tied into bundles and soaked in water for a few days. This method of soaking is called retting. It softens the tissues and permits the fibres to be separated.

Sieving is used to separate those mixtures which have components of different sizes. In this process, the mixture having components of different sizes are put in a sieve and the sieve is moved back and forth continuously. The smaller particles pass through the holes of the sieve and collect in a vessel kept below. The bigger particles remain behind in the sieve.
Examples of sieving:
- The sieving of flour is done to remove the coarse particles of flour (wheat bran) from it so as to obtain fine flour to make chapattis.
- In a flour mill, the impurities from the wheat are removed by the process of sieving before grinding it.
- Fine sand is obtained by the method of sieving to mix in cement for plastering walls of a house.

The Indian plate is separated from rest of Asia by Himalayas, Karakoram and Hindu Kush mountain ranges in north and is bounded on West by Arabian sea, on east by bay of Bengal, and in south by Indian ocean. This facilitated development of distinct culture that is common to South Asians. India is often called a subcontinent because it is a distinct landmass, not just a country. ... A place is classed as a subcontinent when it is part of a continent but is considered either geographically or politically as an independent entity or it is smaller than a continent.

Conductors are materials that permit electrons to flow freely from particle to particle. ... Conductors allow for charge transfer through the free movement of electrons. In contrast to conductors, insulators are materials that impede the free flow of electrons from atom to atom and molecule to molecule. The most common difference between the two is that while conductors allow free flow of electrons from one atom to another, insulators restrict free flow of electrons. Conductors allow electrical energy to pass through them, whereas insulators do not allow electrical energy to pass through them.

An electrical conductor is a substance in which electrical charge carriers, usually electrons, move easily from atom to atom with the application of voltage. Conductivity, in general, is the capacity to transmit something, such as electricity or heat. Copper, steel, gold, aluminum, and brass are also good conductors. They conduct electricity because they allow electrons to flow easily inside them from atom to atom. Conductors have free electrons on its surface which allow current to pass through easily. This is the reason why conductors are able to conduct electricity.

The Distributive Property is an algebraic property that is used to multiply a single value and two or more values within a set of parenthesis. The distributive Property States that when a factor is multiplied by the sum/addition of two terms, it is essential to multiply each of the two numbers by the factor, and finally perform the addition operation. This property is symbolically stated as:
A ( B+ C) = AB + AC
Where A, B and C are three different values.
Example: 2(4 + 3) = 2(4) + 2(3)
