about eighty years ago, archaeologists found the site, and realised that this was one of the oldest cities in the subcontinent. As this was the first city to be discovered, all other sites from where similar buildings (and other things) were found were described as Harappan. These cities developed about 4700 years ago.

Total quantity of curd = 4 litre and 500 ml
1 litre = 1000 ml
Total quantity in ml = (4*1000) ml + 500 ml
= 4000 + 500
= 4500 ml
Capacity of each glass = 25 ml
Total number of glasses can be filled = Total quantity of curd/Capacity of each glass
⇒ 4500/25
= 180 glasses
So, 4500 ml of curd can be filled in 180 glasses.

People in ancient times determined directions during the night with the help of stars. The North star (Pole Star) which always remained in the same position in the sky indicated the north direction. This helped people to figure out the directions they needed.

7. 1° of longitude is about the same distance as 1° of latitude at the equator. The longitudes are not parallel to each other, hence meridians do not stay the same distance apart at all places on Earth. Latitude is an angle (defined below) which ranges from 0° at the Equator to 90° (North or South) at the poles. Lines of constant latitude, or parallels, run east–west as circles parallel to the equator. Latitude is used together with longitude to specify the precise location of features on the surface of the Earth.
