Numbers that are divisible by both 2 and 3 then the numbers are divisible by 6 that is if the last digit is even then the number is divisible by 2 and if the sum of the numbers is divisible by 3 then the number is divisible by 3 so if the number is divisible by 2 and 3 then the number is divisible by 6 Example-796 By2-the last digit is 6 and it is a even number so the number is divisible by 2. By3-the sum of the number 7 + 9 + 6 =22 and the number 22 is not divisible by 3 so the number is divisible by 2 and not by 3 then the number is not divisible by 6.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 5 months ago

Divisibility by 6

Numbers which are divisible by both 2 and 3 are divisible by 6. That is, if the last digit of the given number is even and the sum of its digits is a multiple of 3, then the given number is also a multiple of 6.

Example: 630, the number is divisible by 2 as the last digit is 0.
The sum of digits is 6+3+0 = 9, which is also divisible by 3.
Hence, 630 is divisible by 6.
