Threshing can be done manually using a process called ‘Winnowing’.
Winnowing is based on the principle that chaff being lighter is blown away by wind whereas, grains being heavier fall back. In this process, grains are separated from chaff by throwing into the air. Chaff gets carried away by wind, while grains fall back.

Every polynomial function consists of some combination of addition and multiplication of constant functions and the identity function f(x) = x. Every constant function is continous at every point, as is the identity function. Since the sum or product of continuous functions is continuous, that means every polynomial is also continuous.

Babies have more bones than adults because as they grow up, some of the bones fuse together to form one bone. This is because babies have more cartilage than bone. New born babies have around 305 bones. A baby's skeleton is mostly made up of cartilage.

The Sanchi stupa was built around 3rd century BC by Ashoka at Sanchi, about 60 km from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The railings made of wood used in this structure were eventually replaced by stone railings during the Sunga period. The <i>stupa</i> has four gateways in each direction. Interestingly, the gateways have panels depicting the life events of Buddha and some <i>Jataka</i> stories. In these panels, Buddha is symbolised by <i>peepal</i> tree, lotus or a wheel. The pillars have capitals on their top which have sculptures of lions.

There are different levels of government. Different levels of the government are as follows:
Centre Level or National Level: This is the topmost level of government. The Central Government looks after topics of national interest. The Prime Minister is the head of the Central Government. The Central Government operates from the national capital New Delhi.
State Level: Different states have their own level of government. The State Government is headed by the Chief Minister of that state. The State Government looks after the state subjects.
District Level: At the district level, the governance is in the hands of government officials who are known as civil servants. The government officials look after implementation of various programmes.
Village Level: At the village level, the government is headed by the Sarpanch. The government at the village level is called the Gram Panchayat. It looks after topics of local interest.
While the Central Government is called the national government, all other levels are called local levels of government.
