A perpendicular bisector is a line segment or a ray or a line which intersects a given line segment at a 90o, and also it passes through the midpoint of the line segment.  Two lines are said to be perpendicular to each other when they intersect in such a way that they form 90 degrees with each other. A bisector divides a line into two equal halves. Thus, when we talk about the perpendicular bisector of a line segment AB, it implies:

  • It divides AB into two equal halves or bisects it.
  • It makes right angles with (or is perpendicular to) AB.
  • Every point in the perpendicular bisector is equidistant from point A and B.

6 cm

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago

Steps of construction :

1) Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm.

2) Make ∠ABC=75o. (Take 70o in place of 75o )

3) Cut off BC = 7 cm.

4) Join AC.

Therefore, △ABC is the required triangle.

Out of them, the Rigveda was the first Veda to be composed. Rigveda contains more than 1000 hymns and each hymn is called 'sukta'. The Rigveda or Rig Veda is an ancient Indian collection of Vedic Sanskrit hymns. It is one of the four sacred canonical texts (śruti) of Hinduism known as the Vedas. The Rig Veda is the earliest of the four Vedas and one of the most important texts of the Hindu tradition. It is a large collection of hymns in praise of the gods, which are chanted in various rituals. They were composed in an archaic language named Vedic that gradually evolved into classical Sanskrit.

Yes some resources such as water are good conductors of electricity

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago

Metals have free electrons which can move from atom to atom easily, whereas non-metals do not, their electrons are 'bound' meaning they cannot move easily. That's why metal are usually good conductors than non-metals.

1. What is the disadvantage in comparing line segments by mere observation?

Solutions:

By mere observation we can’t compare the line segments with slight difference in their length. We can’t say which line segment is of greater length. Hence, the chances of errors due to improper viewing are more.
