    प्राचीन समय में भी सच्ची मित्रता के कई उदाहरण हमे देखने को मिलते है। रामायण में श्रीराम और सुग्रीव की दोस्ती। श्रीराम ने जैसे सुग्रीव की सहायता की , उसी प्रकार सुग्रीव ने भी आखरी वक़्त तक प्रभु श्रीराम का साथ दिया। श्रीकृष्ण और सुदामा की दोस्ती को कौन नहीं जानता है। श्रीकृष्ण संपन्न राजा थे और सुदामा एक साधारण ब्राह्मण जो भिक्षा करके अपने दैनिक जीवन का गुजारा करते थे। इन सबसे उनकी दोस्ती में कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ा । श्रीकृष्ण ने कभी भी इन चीज़ो को महत्व नहीं दिया क्यूंकि वह सुदामा से बेहद प्यार करते थे। उनकी दोस्ती की मिसाल आज भी हम देते है |
