The torrid zone generally refers to the area of the earth near the Equator. The torrid zone is generally warm. It has a wet and dry season but does not have four seasons familiar to residents of the temperate zones further from the equator. This warmness of the torrid zone influences its weather, ecosystems and geographic features. Also, the torrid zone refers to the area of the earth between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. It is located geographically by 23.5 degrees’ north latitude and 23.5 degrees’ south latitude.

Scholars who focus on history are called historians .  “History” as refers to the past (and to some extent also to the future) is not something “real” but rather something mental, a concept or model

Our Constitution provides that the state shall not discriminate against any citizen on the basis of religion, race, caste, *** or region.
It is important for all people to be equal because only then our society would develop in true sense of the term. It is our right to be treated equally. It is our right to be given due respect. It is our right to be given equal opportunities. In absence of all these, our life would be hell. Our personality would be suppressed. Hence, we need equality so that we may go ahead without any hindrances. We may prove ourselves helpful in the development of the society and country.

Stars are born when large gas clouds collapse under gravity. They form hot cores that gather more and more gas and dust until a protostar is formed. ... The Sun formed from a very average-sized gas cloud, and the bits leftover stuck together under gravity to form the planets. Stars form from an accumulation of gas and dust, which collapses due to gravity and starts to form stars. The process of star formation takes around a million years from the time the initial gas cloud starts to collapse until the star is created and shines like the Sun. ... Without this dust and gas, stars would not form.

Prejudice means a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. They may decide they do not like them because of their skin colour, religion (religious prejudice) or nationality. Such prejudices can lead to discrimination, hatred or even war.

A stereotype is a mistaken idea or belief many people have about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on the outside, which may be untrue or only partly true.

Prejudice and stereotyping are biases that work together to create and maintain social inequality. Prejudice refers to the attitudes and feelings—whether positive or negative and whether conscious or non-conscious—that people have about members of other groups.

James Mill was a scottish economist who founded the school of classical economics along with David Ricardo. In his influential three volume work ‘History of British India’, he forwarded the viewpoint that all Asian societies were at a lower level of civilisation than Europe. That before the arrival of the British, India was ruled by Hindu and Muslim despots. Social life was plagued by religious strife, caste based discrimination and superstition. Mill propounded the notion that the period before British rule was of darkness and that the British rule represented all the forces of progress and civilisation.
