Hunter-gatherers travelled from place to place for four basic reasons which are as follows: If they stayed at one place for a long time, they would have eaten up all the available plant and animal resources. Therefore, they went to another place for more food. Animals move from place to place. Many hunter-gatherer groups were forced to become settled because civilizations are always needing more to grow and have the tendency to take more land in order to grow, which in turn limits the resources available to hunter-gatherer groups and forces them to be part of the structure of a civilization.

A planet is a large celestial body that revolves around the sun in fixed orbits. Planets do not have any light of their own but reflect the light of the sun. Planets also do not twinkle like stars because they are much closer to us. The earth is also a planet and is the only place we know in the universe which can harbor life.

Both regions were influenced by Chinese and Arab traders. It was the geography of Kerala which allowed for the cultivation of spices which were in high demand in the middle-east and Europe.
The special geographical location of Ladakh and its wool drew traders to these regions.
Thus history and geography are often tied to the cultural life of a region.
