Today, global warming is a big issue. It is causing the oceans to rise and the end results are devastating floods and tsunamis.
Droughts are periodically occurring, leading to loss of lives and shortage of food.
Erratic rainfall is happening as the normal weather pattern is fast changing.
All of the above phenomena can be checked and normalcy brought about if wanton felling of trees is stopped, unregulated violation of effluent discharge and emission of greenhouse gases is checked and so on.
The change in the weather pattern is also throttling the natural growth, survival and spread of flora and fauna so necessary to retain the bio-diversity of our planet.
In view of the above, unless we discipline ourselves, further damage to the ecology will be caused because of human behaviour.
