The books we read today are different from the Rigveda in that the Rigveda was chanted and heard, it was later handwritten. The Vedas were memorized by the students, and later passed on to the next generations by speaking, listening and then memorizing but today books are written and then read.

People of Hardas village faced an acute problem of water shortages. Its solution was piping water or making an overhead tank in the village to increase the supply. However, it was very expensive. A better and temporary solution was to deepen hand pumps and clean the wells. Finally, permanent solutions like watershed development were suggested.
