     The earliest nyaya panchayats were the village courts .Nyaya panchayats guided by local traditions, culture and behavioural pattern of the village community instill confidence in the people towards the administration of justice.They can be given civil or minor jurisdiction but not severe or criminal jurisdiction.Their functions are based on broad principles of natural justice.

    Ans = The early men travelled to place to place for the following reasons : 1. If they had stayed at one place for a long time, they would have eaten up all the available plant and animal resources . 2. Fruits and vegetables ripen in different places in different seasons . So, they might have moved from season to season . 3. Animals move from place to place, either in search of cattle and smaller animals or in search of plant resources . Thus as animals were an important part of their diet, they also moved from place to place for to follow them . 4. Some rivers were perrenial, while some rivers were seasonal . So people living in the banks had to move from place to place . 5. They might have also moved to meet their kiths and kins .
