There are different levels of government. Different levels of the government are as follows:
Centre Level or National Level: This is the topmost level of government. The Central Government looks after topics of national interest. The Prime Minister is the head of the Central Government. The Central Government operates from the national capital New Delhi.
State Level: Different states have their own level of government. The State Government is headed by the Chief Minister of that state. The State Government looks after the state subjects.
District Level: At the district level, the governance is in the hands of government officials who are known as civil servants. The government officials look after implementation of various programmes.
Village Level: At the village level, the government is headed by the Sarpanch. The government at the village level is called the Gram Panchayat. It looks after topics of local interest.

Burial Sites: Remains of burial sites indicate that people practiced the last rites of a dead person. Many interesting information have come from burial sites. In one of the burial sites; archaeologists have found skeletons of goats, along with the skeleton of a man. This shows that people believed in life after death. People believed that a person would need some comforts even in the afterlife.

Manuscripts: A handwritten book is called manuscript. Before the discovery of printing; books were handwritten. The early manuscripts were written on palm leaves and on bark of birch trees. The ancient manuscript give a lot of information about religious beliefs and practices, life of kings, medicines, science, poems, plays, epics, etc.
Inscriptions: The text written on stone slabs is called inscription. The inscriptions and manuscripts from ancient period were usually written in Sanskrit or Prakrit or Tamil.
Coins: A coin gives information about the king of that period because coins usually contained the image of the king. Coins were first developed in ancient Greece during 600 BC.
Archaeological Sites: Sites from where historical remains are obtained are called archaeological sites. Buildings and monuments also come under archaeological sites. Archaeological sites also include old buildings and monuments. Artifacts and other items excavated from different archaeological sites give rich information about a period.

The earth is the third planet from the sun. It is the fifth largest planet in the solar system. The earth is spherical in shape and is flattened at top and bottom. Such a shape is called geoid or earth-like shape.
Earth is the only known planet where life exists. Earth has just the right temperature. It is neither too hot nor too cold. Water and air are present on earth. Water is essential for living beings. Oxygen is present in air and oxygen is also essential for living beings. Thus, right conditions are present on the earth to support life.

Bimbisara ruled for 52 years from 544 B.C. to 492 B.C. He was imprisoned by his son Ajatshatru (492- 460 B.C.) and murdered. Bimbisara was the ruler of Magadha .He came from the Haryanka dynasty. Through matrimonial alliances he strengthened his postion and prosperity. His first alliance was with the family of Kosala, the lady named Kosaladevi. He was given the Kasi region as a dowry. Then, Bimbisara married a princess of the Licchavi family of Vaisali named Chellana. Now this alliance secured him the safety of the northern frontier. He again married Khema of the royal house of Madra in central Punjab. He defeated Brahmadatta of Anga and captured his empire. He had good relations with Avanti.
