    In ancient times people used to determine the directions during the night with the help of stars, The Norh Star indicates the north direction, It's also called Pole Star, We can locate the position of pole star with the help of Ursa Major Constellation.

    • The pole star can be located by using Ursa Major constellation. We can look for 2 stars at the end of Ursa Major.
    • Imagine a straight line passing through these stars as shown in the Fig. Extend this imaginary line towards the north direction.
    • This line will lead to a star which is not too bright. This is the Pole Star.
