Hunsgi is a village in the southern state in karnataka . It is located between the River krishna and its tributary Bhima.Recent excavetions at this site have revealed habitation - cum - factory site . A numberof early palaeolithic sites of same type have been found here. At some sites ,a large numberof tools used for all sorts activities were found .

Earlier people were Hunter-gatherers, who had traveled to the area in search of food, began to harvest (gather) wild grains they found growing there. They scattered spare grains on the ground to grow more food. Before farming, people lived by hunting wild animals and gathering wild plants.
