Ashoka's dhamma was not related to the worship of any god or performance of sacrifice. He considered that it was his responsibility, just like a father has towards his children, to instruct the people of the empire so as to reduce conflicts among them. He was inspired by the teachings of the Buddha.

Sangam means an ‘association’. Here, it refers to Tamil Sangam, an association of Tamil poets, which flourished in ancient history of South India. These Tamil poets composed the Sangam literature and the period in which it was composed is called Sangam Age. During this age there were three important Tamil kingdoms- the Chera, Cholas and the Pandyas. The historical evidences of sangam literature can be traced through three sources namely- literary sources, archaeological sources and foreign accounts.

The latitudinal and longitudinal extent of India is almost the same degrees.i.e 30 degrees. But the north south distance in Kilometers is 3214 and the east west distance is 2933 km. This is because of the nature of the latitudes and the longitudes. The distance between two is fixed between any two points and does not vary according to the area or shape. On the other hand, the longitudes are not parallel lines and the distance between the lines vary from equator to the poles. The distance is minimum at the poles and maximum near the equator.

Plains are vast pieces of flat land. Most of the plains are formed by erosional, transportation and depositional activities of rivers. Rivers erode the mountains while flowing through them. They transport the eroded sediments (small pieces of sand, stones and silt) during their course and deposit these materials in the valleys or along their course. For example, the Ganga-Brahmaputra plains have been formed as a result of erosional, transportation and depositional activities of rivers Ganga and Brahmaputra.

Global warming is the temperature of Earth's surface, oceans and atmosphere going up over tens of years. The most noticeable changes because of this increase in temperature is the melting of ice caps all around the world. Sea level is rising steadily because of continental ice melting into the sea. Hence, global warming is the mainly human-caused rise of the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and has been demonstrated by direct temperature measurements and by measurements of various effects of the warming. Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace due to global warming so there is a need to control global warming.
