The grains are separated from stems or stalks by process of threshing. Threshing is the process in which stems of wheat or paddy are beaten to separate grains from the stems and from the chaff that cover the grains. Being soft, stalks and chaff can be broken into pieces on beating but the grains remain unaffected.

Meteoroids are lumps of rock or iron that orbit the sun, just as planets, asteroids, and comets do. Meteoroids, especially the tiny particles called micrometeoroids, are extremely common throughout the solar system. A meteoroid is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. Meteoroids are significantly smaller than asteroids, and range in size from small grains to one-meter-wide objects. Objects smaller than this are classified as micrometeoroids or space dust.

Hard, difficult both describe something resistant to one's efforts or one's endurance. Hard is the general word: hard times; It was hard to endure the severe weather. Difficult means not easy, and particularly denotes that which requires special effort or skill: a difficult task. The definition of hard is firm to the touch or difficult to do or done with great force. An example of hard is the feeling of a rock. An example of hard is scoring a good grade on a test in a subject that one has never studied. An example of hard is a winter with a lot of wind and freezing rain.

It is calculated that the expanding Sun will grow large enough to encompass the orbit's of Mercury, Venus, and maybe even Earth. Even if the Earth were to survive being consumed, its new proximity to the intense heat of this red sun would scorch our planet and make it completely impossible for life to survive. The most probable fate of the planet is absorption by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, after the star has entered the red giant phase and expanded beyond the planet's current orbit.

7. 1° of longitude is about the same distance as 1° of latitude at the equator. The longitudes are not parallel to each other, hence meridians do not stay the same distance apart at all places on Earth. Latitude is an angle (defined below) which ranges from 0° at the Equator to 90° (North or South) at the poles. Lines of constant latitude, or parallels, run east–west as circles parallel to the equator. Latitude is used together with longitude to specify the precise location of features on the surface of the Earth.

Frosted glass is produced by the sandblasting or acid etching of clear sheet glass. This creates a pitted surface on one side of the glass pane and has the effect of rendering the glass translucent by scattering the light which passes through, thus blurring images while still transmitting light.
