Some ways to reduce the generation of garbage and getting rid of it are:
- We should dispose of our kitchen garbage by vermicomposting.
- We should not throw plastic bags here and there.
- Used newspapers, magazines and notebooks, etc. should be sent for recycling.
- We should use cloth handkerchiefs instead of paper tissues to save paper and reduce the generation of garbage.
- We should use cloth bags, jute bags and paper bags for shopping instead of plastic bags to reduce the generation of garbage.

Traffic police men are continually exposed to smoke comming out frm the vehicle's. The smoke and the suspended particles in it if inhaled can cause breathing and lung problems. so traffic police men wear masks with charcoal lining as charcoal is activated carbon which absorbs the pollutants in the smoke.

Vallisneria is a genus of freshwater aquatic plant, commonly called eelgrass, tape grass or vallis. It is a submerged plant that spreads by runners and sometimes forms tall underwater meadows. Leaves arise in clusters from their roots. The leaves have rounded tips, and definite raised veins. Single white female flowers grow to the water surface on very long stalks. Male flowers grow on short stalks, become detached, and float to the surface. The fruit is a banana-like capsule having many tiny seeds.

The increase in the percentage of the gases which prevent the escape of heat from the earth, which cause the average temperatures to increase worldwide is called greenhouse effect.
Heat is trapped by glass, and hence the temperature inside a glass enclosure will be much higher than the surroundings. This phenomenon was used to create an enclosure where tropical plants could be kept warm during the winters in colder climates. Such enclosures are called greenhouses.

Redworms eat the rotting garbage as food. They do not have teeth body have a special structure called gizzard which helps in grinding the food. Powdered egg shells are usually mixed with the kitchen waste in the pit. The excretions of redworms keep on collecting in the pit which make up vermicompost.
