We can obtain clear water from a sample of muddy water by the process of filtration. In this method we use a filter paper which is fixed in funnel. Then the mixture is poured on the filter paper. Mud particles being larger in size will remain on the filter paper whereas clear water will pass through it.

We need to group objects for a number of reasons:
-
Convenience to store: We often group objects in order to store similar objects together in order to make locating them easier in the future. Even in our homes, we store spices together in the kitchen while storing washing products in our bathrooms.
-
Convenience to study: We also group objects so that it becomes easy for us to study their features as well as the patterns of these features.

Starch: Starch is also called complex carbohydrate. Plants store energy in the form of starch. Rice, wheat, corn, potato, and bread are some sources of starch. When we eat plant products, containing sugar and starch, our digestive system breaks them down into glucose. This glucose, which is the simplest form of sugar is then absorbed into the blood and provides us energy.

A shadow is actually just a space or region, where there is no light since an opaque object is blocking light rays. The position and intensity of the source of light affect the properties of the type of shadow that is formed. For example, let us consider the sun to be a light source. Shadows are made by blocking light. Light rays travel from a source in straight lines. If an opaque (solid) object gets in the way, it stops light rays from traveling through it. This results in an area of darkness appearing behind the object.

No, all living beings do not need same kind of food. As we know that different living organisms have different eating habits according to their structures, requirements, habitats, etc. They may be herbivores (eat only plant products), carnivores (eat other animals) or omnivores (eat both plants and animals). e.g. human being eats bread, rice, fruits and vegetables. Animals such as cow and goat eat grass, oilcake and leaf. Lion and tiger eat other animals.
