Lotus are water plants that have leaves that float on water. Stomata are used to regulate gas exchange between the plant leaf and the atmosphere the major gases being water vapor, CO2, and oxygen. That doesn’t work well if the stomata are under water.

A bulb is said to be fused because of low resistance path provided by broken filament ends which causes spark on account of electric discharge. More thinner the part of filament compared to rest, lesser will be the heat dissipation and more will be the thermal stress as more heat will be generated along thinner part than the rest of filament.

The water cycle is important to all life on earth for many reasons. All living organisms require water and the water cycle describes the process of how water moves through the planet.
Plants wouldn't grow without precipitation (and thus anything consuming the plants wouldn't survive and so forth). Infiltration of water filters and cleans our water. Glaciers, ice, and snow can act as stores of freshwater for both humans and other organisms. Runoff contributes to rivers, other freshwater bodies, and eventually the ocean, sustaining freshwater and marine life.

Germinating seeds get their energy by breaking down stored food material in endosperm of a seed. This role is later taken up by cotyledons in growing seedlings. Cotyledons are the seed leaves and they also contain storage of food for the developing plant.
