Their is no shadow from the translucent, because a reflect pass through it and it create a virtual image. It passes from focus.

A bulb lights up when the circuit is complete. In an electric circuit, the direction of flow of electricity is taken to be from the positive terminal of the cell to the negative terminal of the cell. A bulb does not glow when the circuit is open because electricity cannot pass through it.
