A kind of soft and elastic bone in our body is called cartilage. It is present in the pinnae of ears, at the end of nose, between the vertebrae of backbone and is also found at the end bones where they meet one another at a joint. It gives shape and support to the ear and nose. It is flexible so we can bend the pinnae of the ear freely. However, bones are hard and not flexible like cartilages.

At sufficient height the air became so cool that the water present in air condenses to form tiny drops of water called droplets these tiny drops of water appear as clouds .

Yogita Ingle 6 years ago

  • Clouds are formed by the process of evaporation and condensation
  • Water evaporates from water bodies and rises up in the air. This air also gets heated.
  • Hot air carrying water vapour rises up. It cools down as it goes up.
  • Cooling causes condensation of water vapour, which leads to the formation of tiny droplets.
  • Tiny droplets grow bigger and heavy by more condensation which ultimately leads to the formation of clouds.

You are able to see the flame through the pipe.

Now bend the same pipe and place one end of the pipe towards the flame and try to see the flame from the other end.

You cannot see the flame as it is blocked.

From this we can say that the light travells in straight paths.

The mountain habitat is very cold and snowfall takes place in winters in some areas.

The trees of the mountain habitat are cone-shaped. The leaves of such trees are needle-shaped. The needle-shape of leaves helps in preventing accumulation of snow on the leaves and thus they are not damaged due to snow.

Animals in the mountain habitat have thick coat of fur. This helps in keeping them warm during very cold winters. The mountain goats have strong hooves which help them in running along the mountain slopes. Yak and snow leopards are common examples of animals in the mountain habitat.
