Life span: All living things have a definite life span. The living things start their life when they are born as babies or hatched from eggs. They grow into adults, remain alive for a certain time and finally die. A man has an average life span of 60 to 70 years. Non-living things do not have a definite life span.

- Clouds are formed by the process of evaporation and condensation
- Water evaporates from water bodies and rises up in the air. This air also gets heated.
- Hot air carrying water vapour rises up. It cools down as it goes up.
- Cooling causes condensation of water vapour, which leads to the formation of tiny droplets.
- Tiny droplets grow bigger and heavy by more condensation which ultimately leads to the formation of clouds.

Take a Rubber pipe and stretch it straight and try to see the flame of a candle.
You are able to see the flame through the pipe.
Now bend the same pipe and place one end of the pipe towards the flame and try to see the flame from the other end.
You cannot see the flame as it is blocked.
From this we can say that the light travells in straight paths.

The mountain habitat is very cold and snowfall takes place in winters in some areas.
The trees of the mountain habitat are cone-shaped. The leaves of such trees are needle-shaped. The needle-shape of leaves helps in preventing accumulation of snow on the leaves and thus they are not damaged due to snow.
Animals in the mountain habitat have thick coat of fur. This helps in keeping them warm during very cold winters. The mountain goats have strong hooves which help them in running along the mountain slopes. Yak and snow leopards are common examples of animals in the mountain habitat.
