ANSWER 1
Given :
Length of floor is 5m
Breadth of the floor is 4m
So, (applying ar. l × b)

ar. of floor = 4m × 5m = 20m2. Side of the carpet is 3m
So, (applying ar. of sq. = side × side (s))
area of carpet = 3m × 3m = 9m2.
To find the area of the floor that is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) we will (-) minus the ar. of floor from ar. of carpet
area which is not carpeted or (uncarpeted) = 20m2-9m2
= 11m2.
Hence, the answer Is 11m sq.

The answer is - 0

Devesh Choudhary 3 years, 7 months ago

We know that, "+" + "-" = - "+" + "+" = + "-" + "-" = + So, (-300) + (-300) = -300 - 300 (Since, we know that "-" + "-" = +) And, these both have a common sign. So, - (300+300) = -600 Answer :- (-600)
