Numbers which follow each other in order, without gaps, from smallest to largest.
12, 13, 14 and 15 are consecutive numbers.
22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 are consecutive even numbers.
40, 45, 50 and 55 are consecutive multiples of 5.

Cost of 8 books = 72 Rs.
Cost of 1 book = 72 ÷ 8 = 9 Rs.
So, cost of 45 books = 45 × 9 = 405 Rs.
So, the cost if 45 books is 405 rs.

The numbers 0, 1, 2, . . . . . , N all are called Whole Numbers i.e. if 0 is included in natural numbers, then it is known as Whole Numbers. Whole numbers are located at the right side of the number line. Zero is the smallest whole number. Also, Negative numbers are not whole numbers. For example = 0, 13, 22, 290, 19, 34, 95 all are whole numbers.
The numbers 1, 2, . . . . , N all are called Natural Numbers. 0 and Negative numbers are not natural numbers. 1 is the smallest natural number. For example 34, 22, 2, 81, 134, 15 all are Natural Numbers.
