She transferred her property to Jumman on a condition that he would take care of her and look after her throughout her remaining life. For some years everything went smoothly but after a couple of years Jumman and his wife changed their behavior. She was not properly taken care of and was insulted in many ways. She was not given food .When her patience crossed her limits , she spoke to her nephew and demanded a monthly allowance to meet her daily needs.Jumman did not pay any attention and insulted her . Hence, decided to take the case to the Panchayat. She nominated Algu , jumman’s best friend ,as her head Panch.Being a PanchAlgu had to favour the truth and gave the verdict in aunt’s favour. In which Jumman had to pay a fixed a monthly allowance to his aunt. This verdict, Jumman did not take in the true spirit and harboured a wrong feeling for Algu , and they became enemy.
After some time Algu found himself in a tight spot. One of his pair of bullock died so he sold his other bullock to SamjhuSahu .He had to pay the money within a month .Unfortunately the sold bullock died within a month before the expiry of the period of the payment. So, Samjhu was reluctant to pay the money to Algu. So, Algu took the case to the Panchayat and Samjhu Sahu appointed Jumman ,now, enemy of Algu as the head Panch. When Jumman became the head Panch then he realized that the responsibility of a head Panch is more important than any relation. Algu was thinking that he had lost his case but Jumman gave the Verdict in his favour and ordered Sahu to pay the money to Algu.
Overwhelmed, Algu proclaimed that the voice of Panch is the voice of God.
Both friends embraced each other and their tears washed off their all dirt from their hearts. </font></font>
