अंडे और मक्खन को तर माल कहा गया है। हलवा, पूरी, मालपुआ आदि को 'तर माल' कहा जा सकता है। दाल, चावल, रोटी, पॉपकॉर्न, मूंगफली आदि तरमाल नहीं लगतीं।

सीता को अकेला देखकर रावण तपस्वी वेश में वहाँ पहुँचा। उसने सीता को अपना परिचय देते हुए कहा कि वह लंका का राजा रावण है और सीता को अपने साथ ले जाने आया है। उसने सीता से कहा कि वह उन्हें अपनी रानी बनाकर रखेगा। यह सुनकर सीता ने क्रोधित होकर कहा कि वे प्राण त्याग देंगी लेकिन उसके साथ नहीं जाएंगी। उनकी बात अनसुनी करके रावण उन्हें खींचकर अपने रथ में बैठा ले गया। लाख प्रयास करके भी सीता स्वयं को छुड़ा नहीं सकीं और विलाप करने लगीं। मार्ग के पशु-पक्षियों, पर्वतों तथा नदियों से वे प्रार्थना करने लगीं कि वे राम को बता दें कि रावण ने उनका हरण कर लिया है। कुछ ही समय में वह सीता को लेकर लंका पहुँच गया।

गोल चमकीला रोड़ा अपनी कहानी बताते हुए कहता है कि वह कभी एक चट्टान का हिस्सा था। एक दिन पहाड़ों से बहते हुए पानी ने उसे बहाकर घाटी में भेज दिया। वहाँ से आगे एक पहाड़ी नाले ने उसे आगे धकेलकर दरिया में पहुँचा दिया। इसी प्रकार अपनी इस यात्रा में घिसते-घिसते वह चमकदार रोड़ा बन गया।
