Firstly, we need to find the total height of all the students in the class. So, to find the total height, we need to add the total heights of the 12 students and the 18 students.
Total height of the 12 students = 150 cm X 12 = 1800 cm
Total height of the 18 students = 180 cm X 18 = 3240 cm
Total height of all the students = 1800 cm + 3240 cm = 5040 cm
Now, we need to find out how many total students are there in the class, in order to find the average height per student.
Total number of students in the class = 12 + 18 = 30
Average height of each student in the class = 5040 cm ÷ 30 = 168 cm
Therefore, the average height of a student in that class is 168 centimeters.
