A prime number is a whole number that only has two factors which are itself and one.
The prime numbers between 2 and 100 are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89 and 97.
Composite numbers are those numbers which have more than two factors.
For example, 4 is a composite number and it can be divided by 1, 2 and 4.
6 is a composite number and it can be divided by 1, 2, 3 and 6.
8 is a composite number and it can be divided by 1, 2, 4 and 8.
9 is a composite number and it can be divided by 1, 3 and 9.

Prime factorization of the numbers:
24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3
20 = 2 × 2 × 5
56 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 7
LCM(24, 20, 56) = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 × 7 = 840

The factors of 25 are: 1, 5, 25
The factors of 30 are: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, 30
The factors of 60 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60
Then the highest common factor is 5.
