“Soil erosion is the natural process in which the topsoil of a field is carried away by physical sources such as wind and water.”
Steps taken for conservation of soil:
- Plant trees on barren lands to limit erosion of soil.
- Add mulch and rocks to prevent the plants and grass underneath to prevent soil erosion.
- Mulch matting can be used to reduce erosion on the slopes.
- Put a series of fibre logs to prevent any water or soil from washing away.
- A wall at the base of the slope can help in preventing the soil from eroding.
- Every household should have a proper drainage system so that water flows down into proper water collecting systems.

In the picture glucose drip is given to Nitu. The glucose bottle is hanging on a stand and from there drop by drop glucose is being given using a tube and a needle.
Glucose solution provides us instant energy by replenishing the lost water and sugar. That is why Nitu’s teacher used to tell the girls to have glucose while they were playing hockey.

Your five senses — seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching — help you notice the world around you. They're pretty powerful! You use your eyes to see, your ears to hear, your nose to smell, your tongue to taste, and your skin to feel.

Germination speed mainly depends on the temperature of your room. The warmer the environment, the faster the germination. The best average temperature to grow your plants is 18 to 24'C (64 to 75'F).
Usually it takes 1 to 2 weeks to germinate. Some plants such as mini tomato, chili pepper and rosemary may take up to 3 weeks. The lettuce plants are very sensitive to high temperatures so their germination might be inhibited by that.

The polar bear's Latin name, Ursus maritimus, means "sea bear." It's an apt name for this majestic species, which spends much of its life in, around, or on the ocean–predominantly on the sea ice. In the United States, Alaska is home to two polar bear subpopulations.
Considered talented swimmers, polar bears can sustain a pace of six miles per hour by paddling with their front paws and holding their hind legs flat like a rudder. They have a thick layer of body fat and a water-repellent coat that insulates them from the cold air and water.
Polar bears spend over 50% of their time hunting for food. A polar bear might catch only one or two out of 10 seals it hunts, depending on the time of year and other variables. Their diet mainly consists of ringed and bearded seals because they need large amounts of fat to survive.
