The inside of a seed has four main parts. The four main parts of the inside of a seed are:
- The Epicotyl
- The Hypocotyl
- The Radicle
- The Cotyledon
The Epicotyl are the parts of the seed that become the first leaves of a plant.
The Hypocotyl is the stem of the plant.
The Radicle is the first root the plant has.
The Cotyledon is the inner protective layer of the seed that stores food for the seed to use during the process of germination and until the seed comes through the soil and has leaves that can be used for photosynthesis.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock that contains at least 50% calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Because sedimentary rocks are made of various types of sediments, the other 50% of a limestone rock could be virtually any other mineral. Limestone originates in wet areas which mean it could also be composed of shells and waste matter from organisms.

Humans breathe through something called the respiratory system. This system is made up primarily of our lungs and windpipe. We breathe in using a muscle called the diaphragm. It flattens out making our lungs expand and fill with air. When we breathe in, air gets forced through our nose or mouth, down our windpipe, and into bronchi tubes in our lungs. These bronchi tubes branch out and get smaller and smaller, like the roots or branches of a tree.

The seed coat is protective in nature which protects the embryo inside. The seed coat is usually hard, thickened, brownish or otherwise colored, and partly impermeable to water. It prevents excessive loss of water from within the seed and serves as a barrier against the entry of parasites. Hard seed coats cause dormancy, a condition which prevents germination when environmental conditions are not favorable for sustained growth of seedlings.
