The number which comes immediately after a particular number is called its successor.
The successor of a whole number is the number obtained by adding 1 to it.
The successor of 11999 is (11999 + 1) = 12000.
The successor of 1000001 is (1000001 + 1) = 1000002.

Multiples of 2 are: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, ………… etc.
Multiples of 5 are: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, ………… etc.
Therefore, common multiples of 2 and 5 = 10, 20, ………..etc.
