Most word processing programs give you the capability to change the text alignment of a block of text. This setting determines how the text is displayed horizontally on the page.
The four primary types of text alignment include left aligned, right aligned, centered, and justified.
- Left Aligned - This setting is often referred to as "left justified," but is technically called "flush left." It is typically the default setting when you create a new document. Left aligned text begins each line along the left margin of the document. As you type, the first word that does not fit on a line is placed at the left margin on the next line. This results in a straight margin on the left and a "ragged edge" margin on the right.
- Right Aligned - This setting is also called "right justified," but is technically known as "flush right." It aligns the beginning of each line of text along the right margin of the document. As you type, the text expands to the left of the cursor. If you type more than one line, the next line will begin along the right margin. The result is a straight margin on the right and a "ragged edge" margin on the left. Right justification is commonly used to display the company name and address near the top of a business document.

There are three general styles you'll find with many typefaces: italic, oblique, and small caps. Small caps are often used for headings or subheadings, to add variety to your typography if using a single typeface. Italic and oblique are often confused or used interchangeably, but are two distinct styles.

The Big Bang Theory is an astrophysical model of the universe that can be observed by human senses. The theory gives details about the origins of the universe from its early formations to its modern-day evolutions.
The Big Bang Theory explains how the universe expanded from an initial state of extremely high density and high temperature by offering a detailed explanation of observed phenomena, radiation, an abundance of light elements, and large-scale structures.
What does the Big Bang Theory state?
The Big Bang Theory states that the universe began to cool down sufficiently in order to allow the formation of particles that would later become atoms after its initial phase of expansion. Primordial elements – Hydrogen, Helium, and Lithium – condensed through gravity that formed early stars and galaxies. In simpler terms, it can be stated that the universe inflated into the cosmic system 13.8 billion years ago to form the galaxy and the solar system as we know it.

The earliest recorded calculating device is the abacus. Used as a simple computing device for performing arithmetic, the abacus most likely appeared first in Babylonia (now Iraq) over 5000 years ago. Its more familiar form today is derived from the Chinese version pictured below.
The Slide Rule : As mentioned earlier, John Napier had introduced the use of logarithms. Subsequently, he collaborated with fellow mathematician Henry Briggs (1561-1630), converting his original logarithmic calculations to the more familiar base-10 representation used today.

Primary memory is the main memory of the computer system. Accessing data from primary memory is faster because it is an internal memory of the computer. The primary memory is most volatile which means data in primary memory does not exist if it is not saved when a power failure occurs.
Two types of Primary Memory are:
- RAM
- ROM
All secondary storage devices which are capable of storing high volume data is referred to secondary memory. It's slower than primary memory. However, it can save a substantial amount of data, in the range of gigabytes to terabytes. This memory is also called backup storage or mass storage media.
Two types of magnetic disks are:
- Floppy disks
- Hard disks

1. Primary / Main memory:
Primary memory is the computer memory that is directly accessible by CPU. It is comprised of DRAM and provides the actual working space to the processor. It holds the data and instructions that the processor is currently working on.
2. Secondary Memory / Mass Storage:
The contents of the secondary memory first get transferred to the primary memory and then are accessed by the processor, this is because the processor does not directly interact with the secondary memory
