Weather is the state of the atmosphere, describing for example the degree to which it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. Weather refers to day-to-day temperature and precipitation activity, whereas climate is the term for the averaging of atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. Types of weather include sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, and snowy. One of the most significant factors that affects weather is air masses. Air masses cause warm, cold, stationary, and occluded fronts.

It can also refer to a particular day or group of days when people in a country have a holiday so that they can celebrate something. Festivals may be religious festivals. Festivals often serve to fulfill specific communal purposes, especially in regard to commemoration or thanking to the gods and goddesses.
