A rotation is a circular movement of an object around a centre of rotation. If three-dimensional objects like earth, moon and other planets always rotate around an imaginary line, it is called a rotation axis. The axis passes through the body's centre of mass, the body is said to rotate upon itself or spin. Earth's rotation is the rotation of Planet Earth around its own axis. Earth rotates eastward, in prograde motion. As viewed from the north pole star Polaris, Earth turns counterclockwise. ... The South Pole is the other point where Earth's axis of rotation intersects its surface, in Antarctica.

There are three basic steps required for fabric production. The first step in creating fabric is yarn production. Here, the raw materials that have been harvested and processed are transformed from raw fibers into yarn and threads. This is done by spinning the fibers. Spinning can be done by hand, but this process is quite tedious and time consuming. These days, the vast majority of spinning is done by spinning wheel. The fibers are drawn across the wheel, and as it spins, the fibers are collected on a cylindrical object called a bobbin. The bobbin holds the spun fibers, which are now connected into a long strand of thread or yarn. In the next step, the bobbins will be transferred to another machine, where the yarn will continue on its journey into fabric.
After the raw materials have been converted into yarn, they're ready for the second step in the production process, which involves joining these individual threads together to form fabric. This process of joining the yarn together is called weaving. Weaving is done on a machine known as a loom and requires two sets of yarn. The first set, called the warp set, is strung tautly across a metal frame. The second, called the weft, is connected to metal rods, with one thread per rod. The loom is controlled by a computer, which lets the weft know how the fabric should be woven.

Each plant has many parts to perform various functions for its survival. The main parts of a plant are stem, leaves, roots and flowers.
Functions of a stem:
- It holds the plant upright.
- It carries water and minerals from roots to the leaves and other parts of the plant.
- It carries the prepared food from the leaves to other parts of the plant.
- It holds the leaves in such a way that the leaves are able to get plenty of sunlight for preparing food by photosynthesis.
Functions of leaves:
- They make food for the plant by photosynthesis.
- They get rid of excess water from the plants through transpiration.
- They carry out respiration in plants.
Root is a part of a plant which is in the soil. The roots of a plant perform many functions. They are as follows:
- It anchors the plant to the soil.
- It absorbs water and minerals from the soil.
- It helps in holding the soil together.
- The flowers contain the reproductive parts of the plant.

We get water from various sources such as rivers, lakes, ponds, wells and springs. The rivers get their water from the melting of snow lying on the peaks of snow mountains called glaciers and also from rain. Rain also provides water to lakes, ponds and wells. Rain water is the purest form of natural water. Rain water is not salty so it is fit for drinking but becomes contaminated and impure when it flows into rivers, lakes and ponds. Spring water is also fit for drinking.
More than two-thirds of the earth is covered with water. Thus, ocean is the largest source of water. Water in oceans and seas has large amount of salt so it is not fit for drinking.
Water exists in all the three states – snow as solid, water as liquid and water vapour as gas. Snow is the solid state of water, tap water is the liquid state of water and water vapour in air is the water in gas state.

The respiratory system is what allows us to breathe and exchange carbon dioxide for oxygen. The human respiratory system is a series of organs responsible for taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide. The primary organs of the respiratory system are the lungs, which carry out this exchange of gases as we breathe. Respiratory system is a system of organs functioning in respiration and in humans consisting especially of the nose, nasal passages, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and lungs.

The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation. The water cycle is important to all life on earth for many reasons. All living organisms require water and the water cycle describes the process of how water moves through the planet. Plants wouldn't grow without precipitation (and thus anything consuming the plants wouldn't survive and so forth). Many processes work together to keep Earth's water moving in a cycle. There are five processes at work in the hydrologic cycle: condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and evapotranspiration.
