Light Industries

Those industries whose raw materials and finished goods are heavy and bulky are categorised as heavy industries.  

Those industries whose raw materials and finished goods are light are categorised as light industries.  

These industries require heavy capital investments.

These industries comparatively require less capital investments.

Example- Iron and steel industry

Example- Electrical industry
