stomach is really very important, because it is the place where PEPSIN, GASTRIC LIPASE, CASTLE INTRINSIC FACTOR{B12 absorbtion} and HCl are priduced. Digestion of fats and protiens start here and also vitamin B12 absorbtion takes place here.HCl also kills some bacteria, means it acts as a defense mecchanissm.
