Central Teacher Eligibility Test and State Teacher Eligibility Tests are the most effective instruments to select professional teachers. The main focus of CTET or STET is to find if the teacher is really compatible to teach the students. The teacher must be well equipped with basic knowledge of the teaching-learning process. These eligibility tests are mandatory to work as a teacher in any school in India.
CTET Syllabus
The Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) has two papers. Paper-1 is for primary teachers and Paper-2 is for Elementary teachers. Both papers carry 150 questions.

Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) conducts various examinations including recruitment exams for teacher vacancies in Delhi. The board conducts exams for primary teachers, assistant teachers, trained graduate teachers, TGT, postgraduate teachers, PGT, Music teachers, physical education teachers, activity teachers, special teachers, yoga teachers and language teachers. The exams are conducted under the Tier system. Most of the teacher exams are one-tier exams only.
