Economics/Business Economics is one subject that is common for the Humanities as well as the Commerce stream. Therefore, it has a greater reach compared to any other subject Humanities subject. CUET 2022 Economics Syllabus
The CUET exam for July 2022 has been divided into three parts. Conducted by National Testing Agency, it will be an objective exam having a variety of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). CUET Economics belongs to Section II, which is a domain-specific section. Section I (IA and IB) is the language section while Section III is a general test. A candidate has the liberty to choose as many as six domain subjects that they plan to take up for their undergraduate program.
The CUET syllabus is based on the Class 12 CBSE syllabus with minor changes. Here is the CUET Economics/Business Economics syllabus:
- Unit I: Introduction to Microeconomics
- Unit II: Consumer Behaviour and Demand
- Unit III: National Income and Related Aggregates — Basic Concepts and Measurement
- Unit IV: Determination of Income and Employment
- Unit V: Money and Banking
- Unit VI: Government Budget and the Economy
- Unit VII: Balance of Payments
- Unit VIII: Development Experience (1947-90) and Economic Reforms since 1991
- Unit IX: Current challenges facing the Indian Economy
- Unit X: Development Experience of India
CUET Economics Question Paper
As designed for all other core subjects of Section II, CUET Economics will have a total of 50 questions from which students need to attempt any 40. The duration of this paper will be 45 minutes. NTA had released model test papers under their Mock Test section the ‘December 2018 onwards’ earlier, which was later removed.
