Given: P(2,4) is equidistnat from Q(7,0) and R(X,9).

then PQ = PR

Using Distance Formula : = (x2-x1)2 + (y2- y1)2

PQ = 25 + 16  = 41

PR = (x-2)2 + (5)2

PQ = PR

Sqauring Both Side, We get

x2 + 4 -4x + 25 = 41

=> x- 4x -12 = 0

=> x- 6x +2x -12 = 0

=> x(x-6) +2(x-6) = 0

=> (x-6) (x+2) = 0

=> x = -2 , 6
