3x+2y=11 3x=11-2y x=11-2y/3.......(1) 4x-5y=7........(2) Now, Putting (1) in (2) 4(11-2y/3) - 5y = 7 44 - 8y - 5y = 7 -13y = 7-44 -13y = -37 y = 37/13 or 2.84 Now, you can find x by your own. Very easy question.
