The mass of one mole of the substance is called molar mass of that substance. Its units are g/mol. If the substance is atomic, its molar mass is equal to gram atomic mass. If the substance is molecular, its molar mass is equal to gram molecular mass.
Molar mass of magnesium (Mg)= 24g/mol
Molar mass of oxygen (O2)= 2x16= 32g/mol
