Self-Pollination	Cross-Pollination
In self pollination, pollen grains are transferred from the anther of a flower to the stigma of the same flower.	In cross pollination, pollen grains are transferred from the anther of a flower to the stigma of another flower, either on the same plant or on another plant of the same kind.
No agents are required.	Agents like wind, air or insects are required.
Occurs only in bisexual flowers.	Occurs in both unisexual and bisexual flowers.
Transfers small number of pollen grains.	Transfers large number of pollen grains.
Transferred through insects, wind, water, animals, etc.	Transfer directly onto stigma.
