tan 60 = h/BC
BC = h/{tex}\sqrt3{/tex} ....(1)
tan 30= h/ BC+50
⇒ BC + 50 = {tex}\sqrt3{/tex}h
BC = {tex}\sqrt3{/tex}h − 50 ....(2)
From (1) & (2)
h{tex}\sqrt3{/tex} = {tex}\sqrt3{/tex}h − 50
⇒ h = 3h − 50{tex}\sqrt3{/tex}
⇒ 2h = 50{tex}\sqrt3{/tex}
⇒ h = 25{tex}\sqrt3{/tex}.

[Vishal Kumar Paswan] [11] 3 years, 11 months ago

If your information is correct , then : x + y = 50 and (x**2) - (y**2) = (x + y)(x - y) = 720 ; So , 50(x - y) = 720 ; (x - y) = 14.4 Then , since (x + y) = 50 and (x - y) = 14.4 , 2x = 64.4 and 2y = 35.6 Therefore , x = 32.2 and y = 17.8 Ans.
