by Pythagoras we have the min limit of third side as
Let the length of third side be L

15 - 12 = 3 cm
 and we know the sum of any two sides > the third side so 12 + 15 = 27 cm
so the third side ( L) must lie between
3 < L < 27 cm

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x We are given that the length of a rectangle is 8 0m more than its breadth. So, the Lengthy of the rectangle is x+8 Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)  2(x + x + 8) = 80 2x + 8 = 40 2x = 40 - 7 = 32 x = 32/2 = 16 We are given that perimeter is 80m So,  So, Breadth = 16 m Length = 16+8 = 24 m

Diksha Janghu 4 years, 11 months ago

Breadth= d, Length=d+8 Perimeter=2(l+b), 2(d+d)=80m, 2d=80m, d=80/2, d=40, Breadth=40, Length=40+8=48

Gaurav Seth 4 years, 11 months ago

given :-

perimeter of the rectangle = 80m

ATQ, length of the rectangle is one more meter than twice it's breadth.

let the breadth of the rectangle be x

therefore it's length will be = 2x + 1

formula to find the perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l + b)

so we can write,

➡ 2(l + b) = 80 meters

putting value of b and l,

➡ 2(2x + 1 + x) = 80m

➡ 3x + 1 = 80/2

➡ 3x = 40 - 1

➡ x = 39/3

➡ x = 13m

hence,

breadth of the rectangle = x

= 13m

and length of the rectangle = 2x + 1

= 2(13) + 1

= 27m

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x

We are given that the length of a rectangle is 8 0m more than its breadth.

So, the Lengthy of the rectangle is x+8

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

 2(x + x + 8) = 80

2x + 8 = 40

2x = 40 - 7 = 32

x = 32/2 = 16

We are given that perimeter is 80m

So,

So, Breadth = 16 m

Length = 16+8 = 24 m

Arranging the data in ascending order such that same numbers are put together, we get:

32, 32, 34, 35, 35, 38, 42

Here, n = 7

Therefore median = ((n+1)/2)th term

Median = value of 4th term

Median = 35

Here, 32 and 35, both occur twice. Therefore, 32 and 35 are the two modes.

Vasuprutha V.S. 4 years, 11 months ago

32 is the median

Given diagonal (PR)=41cm, length (PQ)=40cm

Let breadth(QR) be x cm.
Now, in right angled triangle PQR,
(PR)2=(RQ)2+(PQ)2 [By Pythagoras theorem]
⇒(41)2=x2+(40)2
⇒1681=x2+1600
⇒x2=1681−1600
⇒x2=81
⇒x=81=9cm
Therefore the breadth of the rectangle is 9 cm.
Perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)
=2(9+49)
=2×49=98cm
Hence the perimeter of the rectangle is 98cm.
