....but to out surprise everything was neat and tidy, almost as if whoever had come here could not bother with this room. We quickly checked our cupboard and found money and gold to be safe. 'It feels like the story of Goldilocks', I thought. We went downstairs and decided to check all the rooms just incase the thief, if it was a thief, was still in the house. Arming myself with my cricket bat and dad and mom, with the curtain rod, we went to the kitchen. Another shock awaited us there. A young girl of, perhaps seven, lay slumped next to the sink. She had a bowl of cereal in her hand. Afraid that she was dead, dad checked her pulse. Alive! Many questions swarmed in my mind. Who is she? How did she reach here? Why did she scatter all the things. We found the answer when she woke up, full five hours later. The girl was a poor begar whom some people had chased for stealing. Terrified of getting caught she ran and hammered at our door when she couldn't run any further. But due to our own mistake, we had left the door unlocked and it swung open. She scrambled in and closed the door. And things feel here and there in her frightful flight to the next room. How she managed to stumble on so many things, I don't know. When she saw the cereal box, she took it and began eating. But even the thought of food was not enough to overcome her exhaustion and she lost consciousness. She apologized profusely and promised never to steal again. When mom asked her what she had stolen, she admitted that it was food. Overcome with sudden emotion mom hugged her and gave her food. And I had only one thought in mind. When I throw tantrums and waste food because I don't like its taste, many are sleeping hungry.

A reflexive pronoun is normally used when the object of a sentence is the same as the subject. Each personal pronoun (such as I, you, he and she) has its own reflexive form: I — myself. you — yourself/yourselves.

Examples :He cut himself on the broken glass. She made herself a cup of tea and sat down in front of the television. Parents often blame themselves for the way their children behave.
