The mass of the body, m=1200 kg
Initial velocity,u= 80m/s
Time taken,t= 5 s
Final velocity, v=0 m/s (the body will come to rest)
Using first equation of motion, we will calculate acceleration of the body
v=u+at
0=80+5a
5a=-80
a= -16m/s2
For calculating the displacement by the car, we will use
s= ut+(at2/2)
where s is the displacement of the body
s= 80*5- {(16*5*5)/2}
s= 400-200 = 200m
