    • Patriarchy is a social system in which males hold primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property.
    • Patriarchal society is a male dominated society. Patriarchy basically means the rule by father. In a patriarchial society the men are given the power over women. 
    • Example : A girl would ask about buying a new dress to her mother. But if she wants to get admission in a school then her father will take decision about it. The father would select the school for her and not her mother.
