Lysosomes are membrane-bound sacs filled with digestive enzymes which are made by RER. They are absent in RBC and have a kind of waste disposal system. When the cell gets damaged, lysosomes burst and the enzymes digest their own cell. Since lysosomes can digest their own cell, they are known as the suicidal bags in a cell.
