What ??! No, no, no. It's not so negligible. It will have an effect, certainly. C = ε°A / (d - t + t/εr) = ε°A / (d - d/4 + d/4εr) = ε°A / (3d/4 - d/4εr).

No effect, because slab thickness will be negligible which doesn't effect capacitance
